FAQs - Your question might be answered here:

  • No, there is a volunteer Board of Directors that volunteer their spare time to conduct the business of the club.

We will answer any questions you might have as soon as we get an opportunity to do so. At the end of the day everyone that is at the Knob is an owner and we all share the responsibility of the club.

Gobbler’s Knob is a social club that is member owned and member operated, not a standalone business.

  • Really, it's both. You purchase a "stock" or "share" of the club, so you are an owner first. Your annual dues allow you to be a "Member" to visit during the Summer.

Unlike other clubs, you have all the rights as the next person because part of the club is yours!

  • Annual Dues have always been expected to be paid in full by May 1st every year. After May 1st, according to the By-Laws of the Club, it will initiate the repossession process. This process is the final notice members receive before the Club reassumes the Stock/Share.

If this is your first year joining, you will purchase your stock/share + pay your annual dues. After that, you are only responsible for your dues. You can see more on the "Memberships" page on this website.

  • One of the great perks of being an Owner/Member is you have an exclusive place to call your own. We do not allow non-members or non-owners to visit the club or rent the facilities.

We are proud to offer an extremely inexpensive rental option for families of our Club. If you know someone that is a current member of The Knob, you can accompany them for a visit for a daily fee to experience the worst kept secret in Helena!

  • Each season that determination is made. Some seasons we offer swim lessons and some seasons we might not have addequately trained Lifeguards to teach. When it is offered, we do offer it to our Members and the Public. We will post each season if we are offering swim lessons or not.

  • Yes! Safety is the number one priority at our pool. We go through a rigurous interview process and we are highly selective of the guards we invite to work at The Knob. We actively recruit the most sought after Lifeguards in our area and only want the best protecting our families. We always have guards posted in their chairs that are poolside along with a few extra walking the deck. They are trained and certified by the American Red Cross.

We also conduct "In Service" training exercises throughout the season so they can remain familiar with the facilities in case of an emergency. The season always operates around their safety standards and we never sacrifice safety for fun.

  • Absolutely! We do have limited concessions if you forget your snack, but you can absolutely bring your own! That's another fun part of the Knob, everyone's favorite beverage is allowed (if drink contains alcohol, you must be 21 or older).

We ask that if you eat anything other than snacks, that you do so at the Club House/Patio area to help keep food away from the pool deck.

No glass of any kind is allowed inside the property. You will be asked to return glass items to your car for the safety of others. This includes glass kitchenware. Keeping glass away from the pool keeps all of our swimmers safe.
